Welcome to Wessels Dance Studio
Wessels Dance Studio is a Classical Ballet, Modern Theatre, Tap, Contemporary, Musical Theatre and Hip Hop studio in the Montana Park and Waverley areas.
We focus on training and coaching all children in performance, and technique. We aim to train children in more than one dance form, teach them different techniques and prepare them for stage performance. The stage is the place where children will find their confidence, fulfil their dreams and feel comfortable.
2020 - It would not be farfetched to say that 2020 was a year that we will never forget. The challenges that everyone faced have never been experienced in the past. Wessels Dance Studio has been in existence for more than 30 years and for the 1st time we had to face unimaginable challenges, and overcome them. This could not have been done without the loyal support of our parents and our dancers. It has been difficult for everyone facing the challenges that we all were confronted with.
We had to, during lockdown, move back to the home studio and also introduce “Zoom” classes which were new for all of us to get used to. Although strange in the beginning we certainly had lots of fun at the end.
A form of normality returned to us from 1st of August when we returned to some normal classes. It was clear to me that the dancers were very enthusiastic to return to the studio and again performing at their best. I really appreciate the way in which the dancers came back and embraced the changes that came along our way.
On the 7th of November we hosted our 1st workshop ‘Moving Free’ which was a great success with amazing instructors.
2021 - we will be focusing on exam work, a few competitions and maybe even a new ‘end of the year production’
We continue to strive for excellence in the education of Dance and Performance. It is with great dedication, passion and commitment that we endeavour to give every learner an opportunity to excel in their training, self confidence and ultimately their personal growth.
Kind regards
Tessa Cameron (Principal)

Great dancers are not great because of their technique,
they are great because of their passion.
they are great because of their passion.
